 Our Mission

Freedom Gate Ministries in an inter-denominational, non-profit ministry that provides aftercare to meet the needs of men released from prison. Our halfway home provides a unique, Christ-centered, supportive environment for those making the stressful transition from prison to society.

Freedom Gate exposes residents to God's love, mercy, and grace. Over the years, many of our residents have come to know Christ as their personal Savior.

Residents are required to stay at Freedom gate for a minimum of thirty days, but may stay up to six months or longer. A commitment to Christ is not required for admission to Freedom Gate, but a willingness to participate in Bible study and attend worship is expected.

Residents are expected to follow the house rules regarding

respectful language, conduct, personal care, financial responsibility and curfews.

Houseparents provide emotional support and supervision. Good food and clean housing is provided.

Assistance from professional counselors and community agencies is helpful and appreciated.  prayer needs and concerns of this ministry.

 Our History

In 1976, Freedom Gate Ministries was established by Jair Community Services. Jair began as a ministry of housing rehabilitation for low income families in 1970. Seeing an opportunity to rehabilitate the lives of men and women released from prison, Jair accepted the challenge of operating a Christ-centered halfway house, through the leadership of Rev. John Rush and later adopted the name of Freedom Gate Ministries.
